Cultural Globalization-Na su in

Cultural Globalization

1)summarize

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GLOBALIZATION AND CULTURE

Globalization can be defined as a multidimensional process that occurs simultaneously in various areas, and as a complex, integrated process of global connectivity. One of the essential elements of global connectivity is the economy. people think the world market process affects culture, but culture is not the result of causality by economic factors. Rather, the economic sphere is beyond the influence of culture. It is right to say that culture can be caused by social events. Also, Culture is thus not only ‘a context in which [events] may be meaningfully interpreted’ (Geertz 1973), it is the primordial context in which human agency arises and takes place. In order to identify the resulting impact of the culture for globalization, we need to figure out how local actions bring about the consequences of globalization. In other words, cultural globalization includes the reflectivity of modern life, culture is a dimension in which globalization both has its effects and simultaneously is generated and shaped.

A GLOBAL CULTURE?

There is speculation that a single global culture will be formed in the globalization process as integration effects can be seen in various areas. However, increasing global connectivity does not necessarily mean economic and political integration. In the course of globalization, we can learn how to globalize to fit the modern era through historical examples. A typical example is the Ebstorf Mappa Mundi map manufactured in c.1284. This map shows a mixture of topography and theology, showing the coexistence of sacred and empirical elements. People say that within religion - especially Christianity - ignores cultural differences, but it is a wrong idea that all Christianity is exclusivism. Christian ecumenism has an internationalist and inclusive character. This privileging of the European cultural experience can be seen in ‘cosmopolitan’ thinkers from Kant onwards. Karl Marx, in particular, said that many countries would engage in interdependent exchanges. But Marx has a European-centric attitude and agrees to the destruction of non-European culture. In Marx's case, it can be seen that the ethnocentric tendency to universalize the prediction of world culture can coexist with the rational and progressive trend that is not.

DETERRITORIALIZATION

A better way to approach cultural globalization is to understand the effects of globalization within a specific region. Globalization is rapidly changing its experience of locality, and there is deterritorialization in how to identify these changes. deterritorialization means the importance of a culture's geographical location is declining. In other words, culture is no longer bound by the constraints of local circumstances. The weakening of the relationship between culture and geographical location has a great influence on cultural globalization. deterritorialization occurs in a variety of economic, political and technological factors, and its value can be seen through daily reliance on electronic media and communication technologies. telemediatization of culture is a large part of everyday life, and in order to analyze world culture, we must accept that telemediatization forms our lives and values. In telemediatization, the speed and immediacy of delivery are very important factors.
And at the cultural level, this speed and immediacy affect cultural values. But this is not necessarily negative, and there are positive aspects. The deterritorialization is becoming more important because it can provide a wider culture and easily accept the culture around the world through various methods. It also has positive potential regarding cultural openness and the responsibility of global ethics.

COSMOPOLITANISM AND CULTURAL IDENTITY

Progressive and globalized cultural politics have a complex dilemma, and I think the dilemma will get a little better by solving the problem of cultural identity formation.
cultural identity is a modern entity and is a way of regulating cultural customs, expressions, and organization. Those who think of globalization as a threat to cultural identity tend to see identity as a real 'own' and think that identity is something that wants to be destroyed and needs protection and preservation. However, their decisive mistake is to confuse the universality of cultural imagination and experience. Culture forms meaning through collective practice, which is close to cultural universality, but not every culture has an identity built in a dominant form. We must understand the universal humanism and its rights and obligations. Globalization creates an international category of flexible, which will still be contentious, but from an identity point of view, it will alleviate the difficulty. Identity is structures, not possessions. Despite the traditional tendency to claim universality as 'owning', appeals to universality can serve as a way to understand human condition and relevance.

2) mention of interesting things

I thought Karl Marx was simply a thinker who advocated equal communism in production and capital, but it was interesting that he spoke communism on a cultural level, including literature and language, in addition to economics. Also, the prediction that many countries will interact with each other in the future and that various world literature will be born was surprising because it was so accurate. I thought communism was a closed-minded idea that only exchanges take place within the country under the principle of co-production and co-distribution. But I found out that it wasn't.

3) question

In the article, the "moment of culture" of shopping consists of a complex network of global market links, it said. But the most important thing in young people's shopping is self-expression. But I think it's hard to say it reflects a cultural style. Of course, finding a accepted and fashionable style in the society can be said to have been influenced by the local culture, but on the contrary, there are many buyers seeking a unique, different style. Consumer activity is determined by more factors, and cultural factors are considered to be small. I think it is worth discussing about the influence of cultural factors in shopping.
